Terms and Conditions:

I understand and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions governing the fare selected and/or the changes I am now requesting. I have read and agree with Caribbean Airlines Conditions of Carriage. I understand that all advanced tickets purchases are non-transferable and non-refundable unless the fare rule states otherwise. Some fares are exclusive for final purchase on the web and can only be sold and ticketed online and cannot be ticketed at a Caribbean Airlines office. For further information on these types of fares please refer to the rules of the fare.

Billings:

I understand that passengers booking on this ecommerce are quoted and billed in Canadian dollars (CAD) when travel originates in Canada, Great British Pounds (GBP) when travel originates in the UK and US dollars (USD) when travel originates from all other cities.

I understand that the policy of my financial institution will govern i) any finance charges associated with my transaction and ii) the conversion amounts and exchange rates at the time of billing. Prices are guaranteed only at time of purchase.

Passenger Type Policy:

Adult: The adult fare is charged for passengers 12 years and older. If the passenger is between the ages of 12-15 and requires Meet and Assist service, please contact us to make this arrangement.

Child: A child is a passenger aged 2-11. Children must be booked with a passenger 16 years or older or they will be denied boarding. Depending on the fare purchased a child’s discount may be applied.

Senior Citizen: Senior citizens are adults 60 years and older. Depending on the fare purchased, a senior citizen discount may be applied.

Unaccompanied Minors (UM): UMs cannot be booked on this site. UMs are children aged 5-11 years travelling without a passenger 16 years and over. The UM service is optional for children aged 12-15.

Infant: An infant does not occupy a seat when booking on this site. An infant is someone who has not reached the age of 2. Infants turning two (2) years old on or before their return travel date are required by Civil Aviation regulations to occupy a seat.

Carry-On

One (1) carry-on baggage plus one (1) personal item are allowed on all Caribbean Airlines flights.

 

Weight and Size Allowances

One (1) carry-on piece is allowed:

• Maximum weight: 10 kg / 22 lb
• Maximum linear dimensions: (L + W + H) 114cm /45 in

One (1) personal item is allowed along with carry-on baggage:

• Maximum linear dimensions not exceeding (L + W + H) 91cm/ 36 in

Fees

Extra, heavy and oversized carry-on bags are subject to carry-on bag fees.

* Customers with an extra piece of carry-on baggage at the boarding gate will be subject to an extra carry-on bag fee.
** Customers with carry-on baggage 11 – 23 kg (23 – 50 lb) at the boarding gate will be subject to a heavy carry-on bag fee. Bags that are heavier than 23 kg (50 lb) will be not accepted at the boarding gate.
*** Customers with carry-on baggage in excess of 114 cm (45 inches) at the boarding gate will be subject to an oversized carry-on bag fee.

Lap Infants
Passengers travelling with infants are allowed either 1 collapsible stroller, an infant carrying basket or an infant car seat in the cabin, subject to space availability.

Passengers with special needs
Passengers who require the use of wheelchairs, crutches, walkers or other special equipment may use these mobility aids as carry-on baggage, subject to space availability.

Liquids & Gels
Non-flammable liquids or gels not exceeding 3.4 ounces (100ml) or smaller container are allowed with your carry-on baggage.

Checked

Checked baggage allowance is the baggage you are allowed to check in for your flight, free of charge. Checked baggage fees are incurred on checked baggage in excess of the free checked baggage allowances. Boxes may form part of your free checked baggage allowance, however all checked baggage must meet maximum dimension and weight limitations as indicated below.

Checked Bag Fees

Each passenger will be allowed a maximum of four (4) checked bags on all routes. Excess baggage will be accepted on all routes subject to space availability.

Transporting by Caribbean Airlines Cargo:
The following are not permitted as checked baggage and may be transported by Caribbean Airlines Cargo only:
• Checked baggage weighing in excess of 32 kg / 70 lb
• Checked baggage in excess of linear dimensions (L + W + H) of 292 cm (115 inches) and/or length exceeding 191 cm (75 inches).

Mixed Classes
Customers with only part of their multi-sector itinerary in one direction ticketed in Business Class shall be allowed the Business Class checked baggage allowance for the entire multi-sector itinerary in that direction only. Customers with a mix of Economy Class "Flexible" and "Semi or Non-Flexible" ticketed fares shall be subject to checked baggage allowance applicable to the longest sector in that direction only.

Lap Infants
The checked baggage allowance for lap infants is the same as Economy Non-Flex, i.e. 1 piece at 23 kg (50 lb).

Seated Infants
Seated infants are allowed a collapsible stroller, an infant carrying basket or an infant car seat, free of charge, in addition to their checked baggage allowance.

Service Dogs
Service Dogs are allowed in the cabin; learn more on their eligibility.

Travelling Pets
Travelling Pets are allowed as checked baggage only and must be transported in an animal container. The combined weight allowed is up to 32 kg (70 lb) and total linear dimensions of the container up to 292 cm (115 inches) and length not exceeding 191 cm (75 inches); travelling pets are subject to a pet in hold fee. Travelling pets are not permitted when travelling to/from London.

Mobility Aids
Mobility Aids may be carried in the aircraft cabin subject to space or it will be checked in as a free item; learn more on eligibility.

Sporting and Musical Instruments
Sporting and Musical Instruments up to maximum linear dimensions of 157 cm (62 inches) may form part of your free checked baggage allowance. If dimensions exceed the allowance, this will qualify as oversized baggage; learn more on eligibility.

Currency Conversion:

For the convenience of users, the booking and or reservations area may provide exact fare information in the currency for which the fare is computed and approximate fare information in another currency or currencies. Approximate fare information in currencies other than the currency used to compute the fare is calculated using currency exchange information derived from publicly available sources and is believed to be accurate. However CARIBBEAN AIRLINES does not warrant or guarantee such accuracy, as currency rates may vary, and CARIBBEAN AIRLINES may not routinely verify the accuracy of the calculator or data.

24-hour Reservation Policy:

Customers may hold their original reservation free of charge for 24 hours when they select the pay later option. Once you have purchased your ticket online and you wish to change or cancel the reservation, any fees associated with the fare you selected will be applied.

Cancellation Policy:

Fares are not guaranteed until you have completed your purchase. Fees are applied in accordance with the rules governing the fare you purchased. Cancellation fees may apply and when no cancellation fee is applicable, a refund service fee is applied. Cancellation fees may be waived for illness or death of passenger or immediate family member; a waiver for illness only applies in the event of certifiable hospitalization. A FLIGHT COUPON HAS NO VALUE UNLESS IT IS CANCELLED PRIOR TO SCHEDULED DEPARTURE TIME. We recommend that you carefully read the rules associated with your booking. Refunds Policy including Tax Exemptions:

There are some government imposed taxes, charges or fees that our reservation system is unable to exempt automatically. If you are charged any of the following taxes, charges or fees you may request a refund for the following:

1. Infants exemptions:
United States of America: AY: Security Service Fee | US: International Arrival/Departure tax | XF: Passenger Facility Charge Canada: SQ: Airport Improvement Fee | CA: Air Travellers Security Charge | RC: Harmonized Sales Tax (30% of the SQ when it applies)
You may request a refund any time prior to departure or 60 days from your date of departure.

2. Citizens and residents of Trinidad and Tobago over the age of 60 or children under the age of 5, using their Trinidad and Tobago passport will be exempt from the Passenger Service Charge (KT) commonly known as departure tax from Trinidad and Tobago. You may request a refund 60 days from your date of departure only.

Conditions of Carriage:

When you purchase a ticket to travel on a flight operated by CARIBBEAN AIRLINES, you enter into a contract of carriage with CARIBBEAN AIRLINES. The contract is governed by: (i) the conditions in your ticket* or itinerary and receipt; (ii) any applicable tariffs (iii) conditions of carriage (iv) related regulations. The carriage of passengers, baggage and cargo by air are subject to the Conditions of Carriage and Regulations of CARIBBEAN AIRLINES.
*A ticket is valid for carriage for one (1) year from the date of issuance for totally unused tickets or one (1) year from the date of departure for partially used tickets; it is not transferable and cannot be downgraded. Also, a flight coupon has no value unless it is cancelled prior to the scheduled departure time.
