The term "donor" refers to the member who has requested to have miles transferred from his account to the account of a designated "recipient."

The term "recipient" refers to the account holder to whose account miles earned by the "donor" will be transferred once the transfer request has been successfully processed.

The term "Active" refers to the status of an account where the transaction date for the last partner activity credited was less than 12 months prior to current date.

The term "Dormant" refers to the status of an account where the transaction date for the last partner activity credited was between 12-36 months prior to to current date.

Approval to transfer miles from the account of a "donor" to the account of a "recipient" is subject to the acceptance of the following Terms and Conditions:

  1. Member agrees to complete and sign an "Authorization to Transfer Miles" form and accepts that request may not be processed until copy of signed form is received and processed.
  2. Member makes required payment for the value of miles transferred at rate applicable at time of processing of the Miles Transfer request.
  3. Transferred miles will not extend the validity of the miles in the recipient's account and will be expired on the due expiration date of the existing miles in the recipient's account
  4. Transferred miles will not be included in the computation of Tier Status in the recipient's account
  5. Member agrees to not hold Caribbean Airlines responsible for any decision made by the "recipient" re utilization of miles transferred from the donor's account to the recipient's account.
  6. Caribbean Miles members may only hold one Caribbean Miles account.
  7. Transferred miles may not be redeposited to the account of the donor
  8. Miles may only be transferred between accounts in "good standing" i.e. accounts in either "Active" or "Dormant" status.
    • What is Miles Transfer?

Miles Transfer is the debiting of miles from the account of one member, upon his/her authorization, and crediting an equal value of miles to the account of the member designated by the original member to receive same.


    • How do I arrange to have miles transferred from my account to the account of a designated recipient?

You will be required to visit www.caribbean-airlines.com to access and complete the “Authorization to Transfer Miles” form. Once you have received an acknowledgement of the receipt of your form, you will be required to contact the Caribbean Miles Service centre or visit your local Caribbean Airlines ticket office to submit the applicable payment before the request may be processed.


    • Is there a fee attached to transfer of miles?

Currently, all requests for transfer of miles are subject to a processing fee of USD$20.00 per transaction in addition to a miles transfer fee of US$10.00 per 1000 miles, or part there-of, transferred.


    • Is there a minimum number of miles that I may request to be transferred?

The minimum number of miles that may be transferred from one account to another is “1” , however, applicable fees are computed on a “per 1000 miles or part thereof basis” and may not be rebated.


    • Is there a maximum number of miles that I may request to be transferred?

The maximum number of miles that may be transferred is 999,999 miles.


    • May I transfer miles to more than one recipient?

Yes, however, each request will be processed individually and each will be subject to payment of the applicable transaction processing fee.


    • If the value of miles that I wish to transfer is less than 1000 am I required to pay the full transfer fee of US$10.00?

Yes. The transfer fee is US$10.00 per 1000 miles or part thereof.


    • Would my account then be credited for the extra miles I paid for?

No. The transfer fee is US$10.00 per 1000 miles or part thereof.


    • Am I allowed to request transfer of miles from a deceased member account to my own account?

Only the legal beneficiary of the estate of deceased member is eligible to request transfer of miles from a deceased member’s account to his/her account. Request to transfer miles from the account of a deceased member is subject to the payment of a Miles Transfer Processing and Transaction fee. Claimant must provide documentary proof of death and beneficiary status before request may be processed. Supporting documents include a copy of the death certificate, a copy of the will, a copy of the probate and/or an affidavit. Miles that have expired are not eligible to be transferred.
