Caribbean Airlines recorded one of its busiest seasons over the just concluded Carnival period. Between January and the first week of March, the airline transported over 217,000 passengers system wide.
When compared to the same period in 2011, the 2012 numbers represent a 41% increase. The use of a leased Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet on the airline's New York routes in February made a significant contribution to this rise in passenger numbers.
Caribbean Airlines continues to operate above industry standards, with an on-time performance rating of 87% and continues to position itself as the Caribbean's leading airline.
