PIARCO - 3 February, 2011 - Just a month before the official start of Trinidad and Tobago Carnival, calypso legend David Michael Rudder together with Synergy’s “Next Soca Star” artistes got together for the launch of Caribbean Airlines’ exclusive ole mas carnival t-shirt collection at Piarco International Airport in Trinidad.

Featuring four ole mas characters which were the cornerstone of Trinidad Carnival in years gone by; Fancy Sailor, Midnight Robber, The Cow Band and the Dragon are all part of the collection only available at the Caribbean Airlines Duty Free store at Piarco International Airport. The exclusive T-shirts will retail for 15USD and will be available throughout the Carnival season.

Caribbean Airlines is eager to showcase this collection as the characters are a part of traditional Carnival which is quietly dying in Trinidad. Caribbean Airlines continues to promote the diverse culture and history of traditional mas in Trinidad and Tobago as Carnival continues to develop at a rapid pace. The airline continues to fulfill its obligation and do its part to preserve local culture and traditions in the Caribbean by teaming up with a number of stakeholders in the industry.
