The holidays get even merrier as Caribbean Airlines celebrates the 12 days of Christmas by surprising 23 passengers with the gift of travel. From December 22 to December 25, 2014 and January 1 to 3, 2015, one passenger on each of 25 randomly selected flights will receive a ticket to a Caribbean Airlines destination of his/her choice. On January 4, the surprise is supersized with three passengers being gifted with four tickets each to any Caribbean Airlines destination.
Despite the growing industry trend of airlines moving to charge passengers for all checked bags, Caribbean Airlines announces its new baggage policy of charging its customers for their 2nd checked bag. The first checked bag continues to be free – together with one carry-on bag – while a fee for the 2nd bag will be only 25 USD, plus applicable taxes. Caribbean Airlines also announces an improvement in its International baggage policy for Business Class customers whose free checked baggage allotment will be increased to three pieces.
Perhaps more than any other time of the year, Christmas is for children, and the season for giving. Caribbean Airlines staff recently brought some welcome holiday cheer to children being treated at the JBF Paediatric Specialty Unit, Wendy Fitzwilliam Paediatric Hospital, Mount Hope. Passengers flying on Caribbean Airlines will now be able to enjoy signature cocktails featuring El Dorado Rums and Nestle Orchard fruit juices. As part of a programme of showcasing partnerships with premium Caribbean brands, Caribbean Airlines will serve three specially curated cocktails complimentary to all passengers starting December 1, 2014. Stephanie Holt, International Brand Ambassador for El Dorado Rums, designed the three cocktails - “Caribbean Spice”, “Caribbean Vibe” and “Golden Paradise” incorporating the Nestle Orchard exotic flavours.
Caribbean Airlines is pleased to announce the immediate removal of fuel surcharges on all routes between North America and the Caribbean, and within the Caribbean. Mr. George Reeleder, Vice President of Commercial and Customer Service said, “This is great news for Caribbean Airlines customers. With the reduction in jet fuel prices we have removed the surcharges as they were only ever planned to be of temporary nature.” The fuel surcharge was introduced to cover additional costs when the price of fuel was over $100 per barrel. Piarco, 02 July 2014: Caribbean Airlines assured passengers today that all disruptions from the unprecedented pilot shortage of July 1st have been addressed. The domestic air-bridge operated at full capacity for the full day and international flights operated to schedule with minor delays in some cases as a result of the disruptions the day before.
Caribbean Airlines confirms that all its international and domestic flights scheduled for today will be affected as a result of many of its pilots who were rostered to operate flights calling in sick.
